This is WFTL Bytes!, your occasiodaily FOSS and Linux news show for Monday, February 2, 2009 (Groundhog Day), with your host, Marcel Gagné. This is episode 49. On today's newscast . . . nature's own weather forecaster tells it like it might be and bites it. Did Linus jump ship too soon? Dept of defense thinks FOSS is cool. Mototala axes Windows, sort of. Going RMS on semantics.

Linus & Below
If you run the video from your home page, there are no links. Neither above nor below. That only works when viewing the node. Just if anyone still asks himself where those links are you always talk about while pointing to the previous show.
I read the Linus interview before the gnome change was discussed. I noticed it and just thought that Linus can use whatever he likes. Even if its Windows 7 (joking). It's his personal choice. It's not about what's better. It's about what he likes.
I still wonder why those people still make a fuss about it. He hasn't disqualified KDE in any way. The only thing was about the mouse buttons. Again. If Linus doesn't like a feature of KDE and switches, that does not mean KDE is bad. But simply that he doesn't like it. Should Linus tell a lie just to soothe KDE and it's followers? Does KDE depend a rectified reality field?
The fine thing about Linux is, you have the choice. If you like KDE, use it. If you like gnome, use it. If you like xfce, use it. ... But stop telling us what we have to like and why.
I can read your mind
